Represented India as hurdles and relay coach at the SAF Games, Chennai, 1996. * Imparted coaching at Senior and Junior National Camps more than 10 times till 1996. * Groomed many national and international athletes, including Olympians Rachita Panda (now Mistry) and Anuradha Biswal.

Bagged the OSJA Lifetime Achievement Award for the Year 2019 and a cheque of Rs 25.000 at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on 21 March, 2021. * Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik conferred him with the Biju Patnaik Award for Life-Time Achievement in Promotion of Sports & Games in Bhubaneswar on August 29, 2017. He received the award along with a cheque of Rs 3 lakh for the year 2016. * Received the Biju Patnaik Outsanding Coach Award in 2004.
